The Museum owns a series of laboratories destined to the support of the investigations that it carries out, fundamentally under two main lines: The Study and Characterization of the First Inhabitants in Galicia and the Palaeoenvironmental Reconstruction or the Peninsular Norwest. It counts with the neccesary equipmet to serve as support to arqueological excavations, to catalog the funds and to undertake different analysis of sediments, pollen, seeds, microscopic, etc. The Museum also makes analysis for third people.

The processing of funds, administrative, as much preventive and of restoration, consists one of the main purposes of any museum. We have got a complete system of informatic treatment of the keeped pieces and collections, the larger part guarded in a warehouse of compact modules to reduce the space. The proportion between exposed pieces and lodged pieces in the Museum is less from 0,5 %. The materials are placed in the warehouse acordding to the entrance order and number of register.

Within the section of cultural activities, the Museum as much organizes diverse courses and seminaries destined  to the public in general like to the scientific and proffesional group. Seminaries about the periods and characteristics of the Prehistory and Ancient History of Galicia, and Courses about museums, experimental archaeology, and other. For the developement of these activities we have got an assembly-room equipped with conventional and multimedia proyection systems.
